You will be able to display multiple images for a product without having to resort to using an article.  The proposed system will allow you to upload images to a sub folder on your site.  You will then set the product to display these images.  When a user clicks on the products thumbnail a lightbox image gallery will appear displaying all images in the designated product folder.
